The 2026 Adventure
After a most successful 2025 experience on The Ascent, CU is upgrading to Celebrity's newest ship for 2026! This time aboard the Xcel, join us for another 7-night vacation departing from Ft. Lauderdale. Discover the beaches of the Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. All the while enjoying as much Canasta as you can play! Your hosts for this Canasta Adventure Cruise are the co-authors of the CLA approved, Ultimate Guide to Canasta, Sue & Alan Silberstein and Jennifer Jackson-Strage. Having THREE staff members allows us to open the cruise to ALL levels of players, including those just starting out. Improving on the 2025 cruise, we will host our very popular "Joker" Tournament where you rotate to play with over 20 different players while maintaining your own score! We will offer a variety of Canasta Lectures, including Signaling for Aces & 7s, Strategy Tips, Playing our unique and copyrighted 5-player Canasta (where each player only sits out once per 5 rounds). We will run supervised play where instructors are on hand to give you hints, tips and playing advice.
We will host at least two Prize Money Canasta Tournaments (entry fee is used for prize fund). We will run a variation on our Ladder tournament encouraging players to play with other participants. Depending on the number and level of participants, alternative options may be designed for lower level players.
Minimum level includes Infiniti Balcony rooms (pictured below) with concierge and suites available upon request and availability.
